For over 100 years it has stood on the shore of the beautiful Scharmützelsee. Millions of litres of water have already passed through it. Max Schmeling and Maxim Gorki walked past it on their way to their houses. Then it stood empty for a long time, the water tank was taken away and it threatened to decay.
Now it has awakened to new life. Its new, all-round glazed top offers a fantastic view of one of Germany's most beautiful lakes, the Kurpark, the Therme and the Brandenburg Forests.
